Inspired by classic tales of lost souls heading to the wilderness to find purpose, in late 2017 Ollie Johnson created a fictional wanderer called obylx. The music he made would be a reflection on what he had learned. The idea of releasing that music on the first day of each month aims to invite the listener along with him. An interesting build-up from the premonitory, thoughtful mysteriousness of "Intro", through the relaxed "Birmingham" and fast-paced but still friendly "Teresina", to the unrelenting factory-interior thump of "Xavier". About my only complaint is the rather abrupt ending.
